Welcome
to MissionaryTeams.com
Purpose
Our purpose is to help missionaries and their teams by making it simple to develop
and manage a web site about themselves and their work.
How does it work?
1. We have developed a simple form that you can fill out on-line about your work
and your people. You select the layout you want to use for each page and enter
the template name and your background choice into your on-line form.
2. Then you send us your photos for your web site by e-mail or by post.
3. We will process your photos and put them in your web page.
4. When your text about your work and your pictures are complete we will publish
your web site to the Internet.
5. You can then go on-line any time and update your web site information or change
to a different template. The changes you make will take place as you make them.
What does each web site include?
Each web site has the following pages:
Home Page plus 3 additional pages
can be added - Each page can have up to 10
photos on each page. That
is a total of 4 pages.
Prayer List -
This page is where people can see your current prayer requests. Only
you will be able to add or remove requests.
A Secure Email Page -
Where visitors can email you without your true email address
being revealed. There is also a page where you can send emails
to people who visit your site without revealing you true email
address.
Photo Storage -
You can keep up to 70 pictures for your web pages stored on
our server and can change your pictures as often as you wish.
What happens when I want to
update my web site?
Updating the Text
It is easy to update the text parts of your web site. You simply go on-line and
do it yourself. You simply change the text in the form that you filled out when
you first made your web site. When you submit those changes it will be done.
Updating the Pictures
We will be glad to update your pictures. Give us at least a week to get it done.
We prefer to receive your pictures in JPEG or JPG format. However, you may send
GIF, TIFF or BMP format. We will convert your files to JPG format for use on
the web site.
Can I show Prayer Requests
on my web site?
Yes. Each web site has a page where you can list your prayer requests.
How long does it take to update my prayer list
to show an immediate need?
We will give you a web site address. You can go to that address and you will
manage your prayer requests yourself on-line. You will be able to add new requests
and remove older requests. You will be sent a password that will allow you to
remove old prayer request entries. You will manage your Prayer List on-line yourself.
That way any immediate needs you post will be posted immediately.
I have projects and I want to raise
funds for those project on my web site. Is that Ok?
No. These web sites are for you to communicate about
the lostness of your people, your work and the work of your team. Requests
for funds through statements made on your web site or prayer requests
for money are not the purpose of these web sites. If we find statements
that we interpret as designed to raise funds, we will ‘block' your web
site from the Internet and contact you and request that you re-edit your
site.
How do I get started?
1. Read our statement of 'What we Believe', if you agree with
it, then:
2. Send us an e-mail. Tell us: Who you are. Where you work. What mission
sending agency you relate to. What people you work with. Tell us if you want
a web site for you and your family or for your team or group. You
can click here to send your e-mail.
3. When approved, we will send you a website
address where you can sign-up and start filling in your information
for your web site. We will also send you a Users Guide to help
you as you plan your web site. In the Users Guide you will
find information on how to plan your web site, how to make
the most of the MissionaryTeams.com features and how to do
most of your work 'off-line' to save on internet connection
costs.
4. After you have signed up and started filling
in your information we will send you the web site address and
password where you can manage your Prayer List.
5. When we receive your photos and your web
site is complete we will publish it to the Internet.
