| The Western Gauteng Evangelism Team's purpose is engaging the peoples of Western Gauteng offering them the opportunity to hear the Gospel in a culturally appropriate, understandable context, to respond to Christ and to mature in a doctrinally sound and reproducing New Testament church.
South Africa is divided into 9 provinces. Gauteng (pronounced "how-teng") is the smallest province with the largest population. It includes the cities of Johannesburg and Pretoria. |

| The population of Joburg is somewhere around 9 million people. Joburg is the largest city (including its suburbs and townships) in all of South Africa. Pictured is the formal settlement of Diepsloot with over 250,000 people living there. |
